Grant Title: HS Aerial Photography Grant (2009)
Description: The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs (DMA) and its partners are leading a statewide acquisition of aerial photography in the Spring of 2010. This investment will replace outdated aerial photography equipment and software with camera technology and software that will provide more detailed and better quality images. The project will also support planning activities related to capturing new images and loading them to the E-SPONDER System. Having the images available in E-SPONDER will assist emergency managers and public safety agencies in planning and preparedness activities and provide first responders with greater situational awareness.

Anticipated Funding Amount: A total of $700,000 is available. This is a one time funding opportunity.
Match/Cost Sharing Requirement: None
Eligibility: The North Central WI. Regional Planning Commission has been designated by the Department of Military Affairs as the fiscal agent for implementation of this project. The Commission is the only agency eligible to apply.
Eligible Expenses: Funds may be used for personnel, employee benefits, travel/training, equipment, supplies, consultants/contractual or other expenses as allowed. Only eligible expenses under this grant will be reimbursed according to OJA policy and procedures. All expenses must be new and cannot replace existing state or local government funding. Substitution of existing funds with federal grants (supplanting) will be the subject of monitoring and audit. Violations may result in a range of penalties, including suspension of current and future funds under this program, suspension or debarment from federal grants, repayment of monies provided under a grant, and civil and/or criminal penalties.
